Jessica was a small, white, persian kitten found dumped by a station on a busy road with a missing/burst eye, a terrible case of ear mites and severe matting. She must have been terrified and in such pain. Luckily a kind vet was able to briefly take her in and thankfully M, who works there, contacted Strawberry to see if we could take her. Our volunteer Chrissie drove hundreds of miles to pick her up and bring her to Strawberry. She received the vet care she desperately needed, having her eye removed and being provided with painkillers, dematted, having her ears treated, and receiving a full course of vaccinations, flea and worming treatment, and a neuter. Her fosterer found her to be amazingly affectionate and loving, despite her ordeal.
ZG adopted Jessica, who now lives with another Strawberry rescue, a big Maine Coon called Gavin. Gavin was rescued by volunteer JoCl (along with another Maine Coon called Dolly Parton who was due to give birth the same day) – we were asked to collect them immediately.
Those who adopt give our cats the best forever homes ever! Best vet care, lovely caring adoring homes. Strawberry takes back any cat if needed in its lifetime, where possible to the same fosterer who initially looked after them.
Jessica loves her humans and feline sibling Gavin – such a happy pair!
