On the 10th of July 2016 our beautiful Angel arrived & joined our family.
Angel is a disabled cat, one of her front legs had to be amputated when she was found on the streets of Qatar, badly injured & trying to care for her kittens. The lovely Melda took her into her care & worked closely with the fabulous Strawberry team to bring Angel to the UK.
I saw Angel on the Strawberry Facebook page & instantly fell in love with her! I emailed the volunteer team at Strawberry & was sent a Pre-adoption form.
I was very impressed by the form, as it clearly demonstrated that the needs of the rescued cats were paramount. The team of dedicated volunteers ensure that cats are only adopted if the prospective home & people meet the cats needs, & that it’ll be a loving forever home for a Strawberry cat.
I was absolutely elated when l was told that we were a “match” for Angel. From start to finish l was kept informed of the progress regarding the process of getting Angel from Qatar to the UK. Also of the health checks carried out on her. The Strawberry team even arranged for Angel to be safely transported safely from the South to her new home in the North East. They advised me about the food to give Angel, how to introduce her to her new environment & family. Including our first rescue cat Phoebe, who turned out to be extremely reluctant to accept her new sister! H
owever, with ongoing advice & support from the experienced Strawberry team everything worked out fine. No matter what my query was one of the team was always able to help.
A year later & l consider myself part of the Strawberry family & continue to support them & the work they do.
So if you’re considering adopting a fur baby (or two!), l wholeheartedly recommend that you contact the dedicated Strawberry team.
